This page lists ways to contact the ice rinks in the North Star Borough (below), as well as links and information regarding on-line and posted ice schedules, if available. The FFSC's "Home Rink" is the Big Dipper Ice Arena. Additional rinks include: the Polar Ice Center, the UAF Patty Center Rink, and the John Carlson Center. Please feel free to contact the FFSC for more information.
Please remember to sign in and pay $7 (for each 1-hour session OR 45-minute session). Ice times are subject to change; always verify times via the rink's online schedule, if possible (links provided in the "Skating Rinks" section below). Thank you for your patience.
The FFSC coordinates with the local skating rinks to insure that both competitive and recreational figure skaters have adequate practice ice. Free-style and dance sessions may be purchased on a month- or per-session basis. A calendar is posted on the FFSC bulletin board opposite the skate rental window at the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
